History

Restorations Limited
A restoration shop for classic and antique cars and trucks
Restorations Limited was formed in 1996, as a successor to Antique Auto Restorations, Inc. by its owner
David Symcox when he moved to Whitefish, MT from Norman, OK. Antique Auto Restorations, Inc. was
originally organized in 1991 in Oklahoma {David actually started out in a building with his CPA tax practice
in the front and auto restorations in the back}. In the beginning the business was organized for the purpose
of buying, restoring and selling classic and antique vehicles, and that continued under Restorations Limited
until it moved into it's current 6,250 square foot facillity in Columbia Falls, MT in 1999. At that time David
decided to fully retire from the CPA business and offer the company's restoration and repair services to the
general public.
Company Philosophy
Restorations Limited's primary focus is on high quality complete restorations (including restomods and hot rods)
of classic cars, muscle cars and antique automobiles, although we do offer body only and mechanical/chassis
only restorations and mechanical repair services. We offer standard restorations to concours restorations and everything in between. Always done to the owners specifications as to originality, paint finish out, whether only original or NOS parts should be used etc. Basically it's up to you how far you want us to take it and how big your budget is. Although I may try to guide you in a certain direction, the decision is always yours as to what will be
done so long as it meets my minimum standard for quality.

We do not specialize in any one make or model of automobile. Personally I would find specializing to be boring and repetitive, kind of like doing taxes. We take a restore whatever comes in the door approach.

We work almost exclusively on a time and materials basis. I do NOT bill unproductive time to the customer,
I don't beleive that hanging out next to your car is a billable act. Any budgetary concerns should be discussed
prior to the project being started, I always try to have the car owner go into a project with their eyes open to the costs of a high quality restoration. Once we begin I will re-evaluate the situation with the owner if hidden rust, damage or other issues are discovered.

As the owner of Restorations Limited I have set quality workmanship and personal service as the primary
goals of the company. Over the past 20+ years I have continuously improved and added to my skill set
which allows me to perform almost all of the work on your vehicle in-house. Two areas of service that do
not make economic sense for us or the customer are the machining of engine components during a rebuild
and upholstery/soft trim. Although I do have employees that work for me who bring specific skills to the shop,
I am personally involved in every aspect of every project that comes through the shop. Because of my
ability to perform any task necessary to complete a restoration the customer has the assurance that no
matter what is going on with employees, their project will be finished to the highest level.
